Keyboard:
It is a big keyboard and complete silence, rather than my old 17-inch, the impactor is pleasant but nothing more, it takes a little time to adjust to get the “glossy anti-slip” HP style, but this is not embarrassing. However, the keyboard tends to sink a little, especially towards the keypad.

Touchpad:
So already I hate the touchpad in general, I never supported it, but this is worse than all the touchpads I’ve used. It is imprecise and too slow, too unresponsive for my taste.

You will notice the photos on the lack of fingerprint reader, unlike the description of Materiel.net and the photo on the box. Big disappointment for me.

Right side, the dial tone, It runs without end, not stop. in fact it only works when the computer is turned on. It was also the port Headphone / SPDIF, microphone, two USB ports and the famous and mysterious . This small trap horrible to open without breaking a fingernail, cache port modem and multimedia card reader. So we can put an SD card full once you understand how to push and close the door. Useful for example to store their documents and carry on its netBook.

At the rear, we can find the attached anti theft, Ethernet jack, mini firewire, taking food, a VGA port and an HDMI output and the air. The following photo shows the back of the laptop and the cover seen from another angle, we can see the “metallic” and beautiful.

Temperatures, noise:

On the underside of the PC you see three holes: two for ventilos and one for the subwoofer. The cooling system of this laptop is simply a pure marvel and has apparently been the subject of attention from Toshiba, which has learned the lessons of former Qosmio 45 that had overheating problems. In the idle ventilos are barely discernible and full load, the noise is unobtrusive and not embarrassing.  In short a very pleasant surprise for those who hate to have a vacuum cleaner under their keyboard.

On the other hand, the components are well cooled. Since the initial start my PC I HW monitor in the background, and appear only after you all my bench and all my hours of play the GC is not mounted to over 80 ° C, 60 proc ° C and the HDD 50 ° C, with 30 ° C ambient temperature and without notebook cooler. Warm air is expelled, we feel good with the hand, and the only region that gets a bit hot on the PC is located between the screen and touch sensitive buttons. No burns in perspective!

Silent and efficient, as we like, in my opinion this laptop is designed to accommodate a SLI in no time. Toshiba recommends in the instructions to move a little vacuum on the vent holes from time to time

In conclusion:

This beautiful computer tape to the eye was able to convince me that it would go a long way with me, because he was in the belly and it will meet my expectations. Toshiba offers a machine here finely crafted well thought out, even if the keyboard and touchpad are a bit away from the overall quality. The performance of the beast can fill the demanding players like me who do not want to change Laptop every year!

Best Things:

• Design (matter of taste, at least it is different from what we usually see)
• Quality and strength of the chassis
• Price / performance ratio
• Silent and without overheating

The least Things:

• Keyboard
• Touchpad
• Trap for the card reader
• No fingerprint reader
• No HD player or HD slab, but that is another debate, this resolution I am a perfect fit.
